As an EP, Slab brings a lot to the table stylistically, weaving ethereal vocals with thunderous bass to create a sound that truly sets them apart from others within the genre. Wombo have an inate ability to create and maintain a creepy, ghost-like ambiance and energy that makes the EP stand out compared to some of their previous work.

Fairy Rust is the second full length release from Kentucky based 'art-punk' trio Wombo, widening the scope of the band’s angular and twisted powers that have grown immensely in a relatively short amount of time. Wombo have always relied on inventive scrambling of song forms, but there is a bit more development and depth at play this time.
Wombo are one of the more exciting new bands we’ve come across this year. While they released their fantastic full length debut last year, we hadn’t caught wind of the record until Fire Talk announced the reissue back in March. With a renewed lease on their LP, the band announced it’s follow-up EP, Keesh Mountain.
