Cusp - "Window" | Post-Trash Premiere
Last year saw the release of You Can Do It All, introducing Cusp to a wider audience, the songs equal parts muscular and gorgeous, heartfelt but heavy. Everything about it was well-crafted, Jen Bender’s memorable songwriting the spark. That spark grows ever brighter on Thanks So Much, due out March 15th, a triumphantly defining moment.

Cusp - "You Can Do It All" | Album Review
For a debut record, You Can Do It All demonstrates tremendous balance. For every dense and gritty riff, there is a bouncy pop vocal melody, with a focus on blending basement-jam sounds, catchy verses, and choruses. In lyrical content, the band spirals through all of the hallmarks of young adult life.

Cusp - "You Can Do It All" LP | Post-Trash Premiere
Jen Bender's songwriting touches on personal anxieties and questions of over-extending oneself, handled with lovely sentiment and a deft hand. Cusp are unafraid to bring disjointed noise and anger into play, but also show off a softer edge through moments of beautiful keyboard melodies and Bender's vocals that can creep towards higher ranges

Cusp - "Spill" | Post-Trash Premiere
Jen Bender is the vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter for Rochester, NY’s Cusp, a new band that features members of Full Body 2 and Rut. Set to release their debut EP, Spill, via Dadstache Records on 5/7, it’s a great collection of worn in and fuzzed out DIY rippers, built with emotion, wandering structures, and plenty of good old guitar harmonies.
