Robidoux returns with Music For Aluminum Corn, a record composed around his very own corn synth, an instrument built with two touch-controlled aluminum corn cobs. Due out on June 23rd via Crash Symbols, he gives focus to his home-made synth while incorporating manipulated flutes, strings, saxophone, field recordings, and electronic rhythms.

His latest album, At Dust, is due out October 1st via Already Dead Tapes and Records, a fascinating album that layers glitchy electronics with dance grooves and a warped psychedelic flourish. It’s a great new addition to Robidoux’s generally unpredictable catalog. He’s pushing new ground, but there’s an accessibility to it.

Set to release his latest album, Brief Candles, on February 20th via \\NULL|ZØNE//, Robidoux is once again creating without rules or restrictions. The record shifts shapes as it pleases, with everything falling in and out of place as constructed (and deconstructed).

Scattered with songs that dart genre restrictions, Robidoux's "audacity-pop" album blends together wistful drone, blown out slacker fuzz, free jazz-blues fusion, sampled experimentations, and lo-fi noise to create something ultimately pop friendly in the most alien of ways.
