All Hits are set to release their full length debut, Men And Their Work via Iron Lung Records this coming Friday, and much like their band name applies, there isn’t a dud in the bunch. From the detached feedback of the intro to the hyper-speed finale, the Pacific NW trio make post-punk with a heaping amount of dissonance and strength.
Harry The Nightgown - "Pill Poppin' Therapist" | Post-Trash Premiere
The boundlessly creative Los Angeles-based duo Harry the Nightgown (mems of Cherry Glazerr) produce a catchy and playful slice of avant-rock on latest single “Pill Poppin’ Therapist.” Taken from their upcoming self-titled debut album, the track is packed with restless energy that pushes in several different directions at once.
Wallplant - "Hooper" | Post-Trash Premiere
Wallplant is a solo project from Chicago’s Donny Walsh, a Chicago musician that has been busy with a wide breath of projects over the years (Stuck, Krozer, Surveillance). While it’s been three years since Wallplant released Understand, this week Walsh returns to the project with a new EP, Nothing For Sure.
Christelle Bofale "Skipping Stones (Demo)" + Sun June - "5 Years Time (Demo)" | Post-Trash Premiere
Set to release Slack Capital 3 on Friday, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Austin Justice Coalition, a local justice group that seeks to educate and build community. The 41 track compilation was curated by Eric Braden (Big Bill), Nathan Lankford (Austin Town Hall Records), and local booking agency Howdy Gals.
Bruges - "Narrow Passage" | Post-Trash Premiere
Chicago quartet Bruges are set to follow up last year’s An Erasure of Form with a new album, A Thread of Light, due out Friday, June 5th. Their sound is a dark mix of noise rock and primal minimalist repetition, comprised of droning low-end and plenty of tension. The heaviness of their sound relies as much on atmosphere and dynamic as it does physical heft and volume.
Modern Technology - "Semi-Detached" | Post-Trash Premiere
Having released their debut EP at the start of 2019, the duo are ready to share their full length debut, Service Provider, on August 25th via their recently formed label. The band are sticking with their charitable deeds, donating 20% of all proceeds to The Trussell Trust, plus an extra 10% on Bandcamp’s upcoming fee waiver days.
Long Neck - "Bad Words" Video | Post-Trash Premiere
As a song that expounds on loneliness and isolation, the current global state of affairs injects new meaning into the deeply personal “Bad Words.” Though written before the current pandemic, in the video, the band applies the song’s themes to the new collective normal that many are experiencing with a hopeful and inspiring message.
Blue Ray - "Blessed Fruit" EP | Post-Trash Premiere
Blessed Fruit is easily the most violent and deranged the band have ever sounded. The entire record is sonically threatening to bury you under a mountain of high frequency feedback and piercing levels of gain. Coincidentally, it’s also the first to be professionally mastered, with Will Killingsworth of Dead Air Studios to thank for this one.
Pat Keen - "Cell Song" | Post-Trash Premiere
Formerly a collaborator of Guerilla Toss and Wei Zhongle, the Minnesota via Eau Claire based songwriter’s solo music is based within folk, but the inherent ease in his songs is built on a wandering state of reinvention. Following last year’s Oakland Ave, Keen returns with new full length, Cells Remain, out August 21st on Birdwatcher Records.
Buddie - "Heartbeat" | Post-Trash Premiere
Diving, the band’s new record is due out July 17th via their new label home at Pittsburgh’s Crafted Sounds (Spooled Up, The Zells, Bat Zuppel). The album, which while optimistic, deals with both anxiety and self-improvement, is based around the urgent attention that is needed in regards to the environment and the role of humans in it.
Radical Dads - "Don't Wanna Go" | Post-Trash Premiere
Paved Mountain is the bi-coastal band’s fourth album, due out on June 23rd via Uninhabitable Mansions (Annie Hart, Sat. Nite Duets, Pursesnatchers), and picks up their subtle glory, shining a light on their muscular brand of indie rock and introspective songwriting, with more than a few new tricks up their sleeve.
Moth - "Ritual" | Post-Trash Premiere
Mo Dotti - "Blurring" EP | Post-Trash Premiere
L.A.’s Mo Dotti are a genuine shoegaze band, their sound reflective of the genre’s glory days. They have studied the classics, from songwriting to production. They’ve spent the past three years refining their approach, constructing and layering guitars with dreamy perfection, and everything falls right into place on their first EP, Blurring.
Options - "Faster" (Remix) | Post-Trash Premiere
In an unprecedented move, Chicago’s Options are sharing a remix of their song “Faster” before we’ve heard “Faster” in its original form. Its full of intrigue and mystery. While the source material is set to arrive on the latest Options album, Wind’s Gonna Blow, due out May 22nd, the remix is here and ready.
Pleaser - "Are You Listening To Me?" | Post-Trash Premiere
New York’s Pleaser is the duo of Carrie Furniss (ex-Birthing Hips) and Travis Hagan (halfsour), but knowing their previous work doesn’t really paint the picture that is their latest band. The pair go for a decidedly more electronic sound with Pleaser, a band that seemingly finds the pair influenced primarily by dating based reality shows.
The Duke of Surl - "Breakin'" (feat. Matt Gibbs) | Post-Trash Premiere
As In - "Not A Doctor, Not Today" | Post-Trash Premiere
The band is comprised of Emerson Stevens and Candace Clement, both formerly of Western Mass’ late great Bunny’s A Swine, a true staple of slop-rock for all eternity. The duo got together to make some new lo-fi music, recording on mics not recommended for recording, and generally giving it their signature best.
Jad Fair & Hifiklub - "Staying At Home" Video | Post-Trash Premiere
Died - "Oja de Macao" | Post-Trash Premiere
Velvet Vaughan - "Sleep Walk" | Post-Trash Premiere
Born and raised in Nashville by a pair of notable session musicians, the story goes that Vaughan spent her years growing up around the city’s legendary country scene. Eventually moving to New York City for school, it was the memories of home that led Vaughan to start writing her own music, bringing a little Nashville twang to bustling city.
