Formerly a collaborator of Guerilla Toss and Wei Zhongle, the Minnesota via Eau Claire based songwriter’s solo music is based within folk, but the inherent ease in his songs is built on a wandering state of reinvention. Following last year’s Oakland Ave, Keen returns with new full length, Cells Remain, out August 21st on Birdwatcher Records.

Ahead of Keen's month long tour, he's sharing a new single and video, the comforting "Screens," featuring vocal accompaniment by Adelyn Strei.The Jesse Johnson directed video, which opens with a dizzying look around the room, is as minimal as they come.

Soft and sprightly, "Wannabes" opens with a jazzy shuffle like the sun rising on a new day. The rhythm bounces around under Keen's melodic phrasing, shifting in tempo as the vocal couplets subside into quick stream of conscious thought.
