Courtesy - "Zapps" | Post-Trash Premiere
Chicago’s Courtesy have been doing their own thing for a decade now, making indie rock that’s both electronic and experimental, but also draws from key elements of lo-fi production and slacker punk songwriting. The band return with their latest full length, Check The Milk, due out November 19th via Seasick Records.
Nolan Potter - "Music Is Dead" Video
Nolan Potter is an exceptional musician and an exceptional songwriter, and the wide expanses of his progressive psych come into view repeatedly on Music Is Dead as he shifts from movement to movement. Darting between ethereal moments of progressive beauty and tension to cosmic pop, there’s a heavy dose of psych coating it all.
No One and the Somebodies - "David Hyde Pierce" | Post-Trash Premiere
Celebrating their 20th (!!) year making music together, NOATS are making the most of it with the release of their latest album, Ceasefire Violations, due out 11/8. The record marks their first new release since 2015’s split LP with Palberta, but as the six year draught comes to an end, it becomes immediately clear that it was worth the wait.

A.D. Flowers - "Option 2" | Post-Trash Premiere
A.D. Flowers are ready for their self-titled sophomore EP, due out October 15th via Infinite Weed Records. The band make pop-infused music in the classic sense of the word, naming The Beatles as a core influence, but their sound skews closer to 90’s alternative rock with maybe a pinch of early punk swagger.
Alien Nosejob - "Leather Gunn" | Post-Trash Premiere
Alien Nosejob already released the blistering HC45-2 and now he’s back with his next full length, Paint It Clear. Due out November 12th via the excellent team of Anti Fade and Feel It Records, the album continues Alien Nosejob’s streak of never releasing the same record twice, warping Robertson’s signature punk with new-wave.
Perennial - “Perennial in a Haunted House” | Post-Trash Premiere
Stoner Will & The Narks - "Neocolonial Selfcare in the Anthropocene; or the Vibes at Goldman Sachs" | Post-Trash Premiere
Full or snarky, anti-establishment, society skewering, oft political bite, Hadley’s Stoner Will & The Narks are set to return with their sophomore album, A Narxist Critique. Due out 10/15 via Tiny Radars, the band’s sardonic post-punk is razor sharp in intellect and sense of humor, appealing to fans of both Cheekface and The Cool Greenhouse.
Great Wave - "Orange Juice" | Post-Trash Premiere
For the past few years, Scranton’s Great Wave have been crafting a unique style of psychedelic dream-pop, but it leans a bit more toward the experimental than the “pop” tag might suggest. It’s relaxed and accessible, but the band don’t always play to common song structures, instead enacting overall feeling.
Grass Jaw - "Displacement" | Post-Trash Premiere
Having already shared the album’s first two singles, “Dark Months” and “Weight / Chemicals,” Grass Jaw bring us their latest, “Displacement,” a song heavily rooted in the album’s themes of navigating depression. Grass Jaw has a knack for making songs that are intimate and personal but feel relatable to anyone listening.
Floating Room - "Shimanchu" | Post-Trash Premiere
Floating Room have announced Shima, a new EP due out November 12th via Famous Class Records. With this one, the Portland band are getting heavier. The EP’s lead single is “Shimanchu,” a song that reflects Stoner’s Uchinanchu heritage and a retaliation to the condescension she faces daily as an Asian American woman.
Neckbolt - "Jawline" | Post-Trash Premiere
Austin’s Neckbolt are a new band that are making noise rock in their own way, deranged and slurred, loud and abrasive, but colorful and a bit psychedelic. It rips with amp blaring intensity but has a prismatic gleam, a sordid kind of fusion that sits somewhere between fellow Texans like Cherubs, Borzoi, and Butthole Surfers.
June Gloom - "TV Show" | Post-Trash Premiere
June Gloom is the solo project of Jesse Paller, a New York based musician and sound engineer. His records and steeped in indie rock traditionalism, but his songwriting is always impactful. Following a split release with Rock Solid back in 2018, June Gloom is here again with Destructive Children, a new full length due out on October 1st.
Battle Ave - "Fear Of" | Post-Trash Premiere
The Hudson Valley/Catskills based band are back with their strongest effort yet, a self-titled EP due out on October 8th. Known for a combination of ethereal folk, Americana, and lo-fi indie rock, there’s a “rural cabin in the trees” kind of feel to their music, one that should be of interest to fans of Big Thief and Trace Mountains.
J.R.C.G. - "Rainbow" | Post-Trash Premiere
Best known for Seattle’s Dreamdecay, Justin R. Cruz Gallego aka J.R.C.G., is stepping out on his own with a solo debut. Due out November 8th via Castle Face Records, Gallego uses the opportunity to widen the experimental pallet previously explored by his band, starting with a hypnotic punk template and wandering from there.
Caution - "Act Rich" Video | Post-Trash Premiere
Each song on Caution hits with memorable hooks and sharp melodic earworms, as evident on early singles “Buy My Life” and “Swallow”. Seven months later and the band remind you to keep listening to their record, over and over again until the song’s sound like second nature (which they will), courtesy of a new video for “Act Rich”.

Best known for playing drums in Squitch, Boston’s Denzil Leach is also a great solo musician, with a few EPs and singles released thus far. Their latest EP, Hot Shot, is due out October 1st via Erased! Tapes, a wonderfully lo-fi and slightly blown out mix of fuzz punk and basement sludge. It’s brash and loud but filled with a radiant spirit,.
Black Beach - "Traffic Jam" | Post-Trash Premiere
Black Beach have taken influence from 80s industrial, dub, film scores, and free jazz to create their upcoming EP, Giallo, due out October 25th. Their sound feels uniquely inspired, with a special kind of sonic violence. The tonality on “Traffic Jam” is 100% noise rock, heavy as a ton of bricks, and it’s clear that Black Beach aren’t messing around.
Matt Robidoux - "The Bouquet" | Post-Trash Premiere
His latest album, At Dust, is due out October 1st via Already Dead Tapes and Records, a fascinating album that layers glitchy electronics with dance grooves and a warped psychedelic flourish. It’s a great new addition to Robidoux’s generally unpredictable catalog. He’s pushing new ground, but there’s an accessibility to it.
