Today we’re premiering the video for “Leave It Loading,” the stunning opener, filmed in collaboration with cinematographer Emile Bertherat.
Psychic Energy are that new Western MA band you need to know, and some of the band’s members may already be familiar. The trio of Candace (Bunny’s A Swine, Footings), Dana (Ex-Temper), and Josh (The Capitulators) may only be on a first name basis to us, but it’s fitting as their debut EP, Post Nothing, feels welcoming.

Possible Humans is a five-piece band out of Melbourne, for those that love guitars and driving bass lines. Everybody Split is their first full length, initially released in April 2019 as a small run by Hobbies Galore. This initial run was followed by a US and worldwide release in August by Trouble in Mind Records based out of Chicago.
Vanishing DMC recorded their self-titled album in 2016, a dirgy punk record that it splattered with idiosyncrasies unique to the band’s leader, the late Danny “Monster” Cruz. As a member of Flaming Dragons of Middle Earth, Cruz made sprawling performance art, but with DMC, it’s all deconstructed punk and raw basement cacophony.
The band sounds absolutely massive throughout the album. The instrumentals hit with precision; look no further than the guitar attack of “Processed By The Boys” and “I Am You Now,” or the push and pull of “Modern Business Hymns”. Joe Casey sounds like vintage Nick Cave, delivering fire and brimstone truths over the din.
The track addresses the haunting presence of a known abuser, one who has been exiled for the safety of a community. It questions the implications of excommunication, considering the danger said abusers may pose to the next community they find. Moth is the creative project of Darcy Berry, known for his punchy drumming in Melbourne’s strikingly different but equally excellent Gonzo and U-Bahn. Moth became known for their chaotic live performances around Melbourne, fleshing out the bare bones of the project with talent from bands such as Alien Nosejob and Body Maintenance.
