Frederick, Maryland’s Mr. Husband are back at it again. Spreading joy and absurdity once more, the band return with their latest album, Songs of Friendship, Songs of Wonderment, due out of course on April 20th (because really when else) via Good Soil Records. While the band have proven in the past that they have a knack for music videos (see the premiere of 2018’s “Living In Dreams”), it oddly feels like maybe it’s all been leading up to their “Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Hoping” video, the first single from the upcoming record.

On an inter-dimensional mission of friendship and wonderment (naturally), the band’s beloved pup gets left behind. Then due to some space-age log-in credentials, the mission to retrieve ol’ Sugarbear becomes increasingly difficult. It’s all high production value from there, with only the fanciest of studio wizardy to shape the quest’s visual delights. Sarcasm aside, the low-budget joy of the video goes well with the band’s college radio tinged indie rock and their free-wheeling pop charm. There’s also a great haircut montage and a bonus theme song to enjoy.
