The Widest Smiling Faces - "Flower Song" Video | Post-Trash Premiere

The Widest Smiling Faces (the folk/ambient/shoegaze/etc. project of NYC’s Aviv Cohn) released the excellent album Milk Garden almost a year ago. Today we are blessed with a beautiful accompaniment to that record with the video for “Flower Song,” created by Lucas Ospina. Delicately pieced together from footage Ospina shot on Super 8 in Germany, Estonia, and the northeastern U.S., this wistful collage of flowers and water perfectly complements the fragility of the song’s arrangement. I found the shot of potted plants peeking through curtains blowing in the wind near the end of the video particularly haunting and beautiful.
