NYC / Cincinatti punks Choncy bounce ideas off one another from the east coast to the Midwest, honing in on their “kitchen sink” sound from hundreds of miles away. The band’s forthcoming record Trademark was made separately, together, with each member recording in their respective practice spaces and bedrooms without missing a beat.
Today, Post-Trash is thrilled to premiere the video for “Bypass,” Choncy’s second single from the upcoming Trademark. Judging by the corn, windmills, and windmilling, it looks like the crew rallied together in the great Midwest for an unplugged karaoke pit stop. Choncy’s sound is rooted in punk tradition, and the band are as playful as they are serious about digging into the progression of their sound.
