Night Moth - "Rumination Song" | Post-Trash Premiere

by Pat Pilch (@apg_gomets)

Night Moth are friends. Emery Spooner started Night Moth in 2018. Emery Spooner is friends with former Squitch bandmates Denzil Leach and Kit Malmberg. Emery Spooner’s other friend is Miles Chandler, who plays in Clifford, who we love here at Post-Trash. Altogether, friends Spooner, Leach, Malmberg, and Chandler are Night Moth.

Night Moth’s new single and upcoming record is sort of exactly what you think might happen when you put these friends together. Those Clifford-esque post-hardcore parts really thud, but those Squitch-y melodies really shine through. It’s real nice when friends come together, and we’re psyched to premiere “Rumination Song” today at Post-Trash.

Spoiler - this record rules. Not only are the songs catchy as hell, Spooner’s lyrics are dark, true, potent, and excellent. Night Moth took the pressure off themselves for their self-titled, and Seth Engel’s production work captures the project’s natural chemistry.

Night Moth is out 3/13. Listen to “Rumination Song” below:
