Lane - "Scream" | Post-Trash Premiere

by Pat Pilch (@apg_gomets)

Boston duo Lane have a record due out next year. Love is in the Rain’s lead single “Scream” finds Wes Kaplan and Julian Fader (Ava Luna, NADINE) taking a more direct approach to indie rock, embracing their childhood influences for something as interesting as it is nostalgic.

There’s a palpable Y2K feel to this one, but “Scream” never sits in the same zone for too long. The track sounds built for alt-rock radio, mixing the best bits of Breeders and Chavez with big swing hooks. Despite these reference points, Lane flips cliche on its head, as “Scream” only surprises with each passage and turn.

Listen to Lane’s “Scream” below and be on the lookout for Love is in the Rain in 2026.
