The Rizzos - "Breslin" | Post-Trash Premiere

by Dan Goldin (@post_trash_)

Back in 2019, Brooklyn’s The Rizzos brought us all on Spring Break, and now the trio take us back to How It Was, a time when little mattered more than listening to music you love. It’s an ideal we can get behind, music for the sake of music. Due out November 12th via King Pizza Records (Teen Mortgage, Daddies, Milk For The Angry), the record isn’t bogged down with modern anxieties or despair, because the band are too busy writing garage punk and power-pop tunes and having a good time in doing so. Sure, there’s some anxieties, but the point is they aren’t bogged down by them.

Having already shared “Way Out” and “Hambjrgers,” we’re pleased to share the album’s latest single, “Breslin”. There’s big rock ‘n’ roll vibes to be had, with a swaggering garage pop guitar line and a strong vocal presence, reflecting on relationships past. With lyrics like “the stars they can align, but they always burn out too,” its a strong reminder that its not always meant to be, but that’s okay. Life moves on.
