For the better part of the decade Ryan Pollie has been releasing his own strain of bedroom pop, his latest self-titled album, was released in 2019 via his home at Anti- Records. Prior to that however, his debut release came courtesy of Forged Artifacts (Double Grave, Half Stack, Dweller) and things have come full circle as he joins the label once for his latest project, Total Revenge. Due out September 4th, the entire self-titled record was recording to 4-track tape, with every instrument run though the same lo-fi distortion. This one is unapologetically fuzzy, built on rippers that stray from the path Pollie has previously taken.

The record’s second single is “The Lawn,” a sickly sweet power-pop song that’s weighted down with feedback and dissonance. The hooks are immediate, crawling from every melodic corner, while the vocals chime with an alien sort of glow, buried in fuzz before a little clarity comes to surface. It’s all ramshackle jangle, and it be just our favorite thing we’ve heard from Pollie’s beautiful mind.
