In a world increasingly complex and chaotic, the ability to sit and listen has never been so fraught with danger. In the days and months ahead, however, it is important to be able to sit and focus on something or someone and learn from it, grow from it. We're all here and in this together.

The lead single off of Mediocre Cafe’s upcoming debut Easy Listening is the title track. A swirling, jazz-influenced tune about the pains of being heard, they reap the grain planted by acts such as Paul Cherry and Ariel Pink, stirring the pot once more with a cleaner edge. Clanking keys, muzak-inspired xylophone and an endearing voice coaxing you to “take a listen”.

Formerly The White Lighters, Mediocre Cafe comes out of the Sacramento scene’s pop rock underground, with Samuel Regen of Baseball Gregg (Italian pop/soft rock phenoms) manning the helm with production and mixing.
