Boston trio Fucko are set to release their sophomore album Social Climber in May, the long awaited follow up to 2016’s Dealing With The Weird. Due out via Midnight Werewolf Records (Kal Marks, Rong, Landowner), the band’s seething grunge sound pushes through sludge and walls of distortion to reveal some of the band’s biggest hooks and catchiest songwriting. Lead single “Used To Be” has the band at their best, careening guitars, enormous bass lines, and propulsive drums that absolutely crush the beat into dust. Led by Sarah Desmarais’ powerful vocals, the song sticks deep into their pop charm, ripping and thrashing with radio friendly cohesion and plenty of earworm moments from colossal drum fills to guitars that fade out only to erupt on return.
The band will be touring around the release for a series of special shows:
05/16 - Portland, ME @ Sun Tiki Studios
05/17 - Boston, MA @ O’Brien’s
05/18 - Philadelphia, PA @ Planet Phitness
05/19 - Rollinsford, NH @ Sue’s w/ Rick Rude
Fucko’s Social Climber is out May 17th via Midnight Werewolf Records.
