Nearly a year ago to the day (give or take two days) we had the pleasure of premiering Double Grave’s video and single for “Laetitia,” one of the stand out’s from the trio’s latest EP, Empty Hands, released last Spring via Sad Cactus and Forged Artifacts. In the year or so since the record’s introduction the band have stayed busy touring both the Midwest and the East Coast, gaining a wider audience with each show for their tangled shoegaze, grunge, and post-hardcore tinged, fuzz pop sound. They are one of those “best kept secret” bands, the type that make exceptional records that spread with word of mouth, each listener along the way rewarded for repeat listens as Double Grave have a knack for creating songs both nuanced and textured.

While we eagerly await whatever release comes next from the Minneapolis band, we’re exciting to share the video premiere of “Deadend,” another great song from last year’s Empty Hands. The video captures the band performing on the road… but not quite in the way you expect. This isn’t another tour footage video. Instead Double Grave attempt the amazing and play while literally riding down the open road on bikes, skateboards, and in pick-up beds. Guitarist/vocalist Jeremy Warden is playing while riding a bike, bassist/vocalist Bree Meyer is on a skateboard, and drummer Seth Tracy is in the back of the truck (because fitting on a drum kit on anything else was a futile idea). It’s a great visual all around and an impressive feet.

TOUR DATES:

04/05 - Marquette, MI
04/06 - Houghton, MI
04/07 - Eau Claire, WI
