Last summer New Brunswick's DIY mainstays Glazer released their full length debut On A Prairie, Live In The Dirt, a record that combines everything we've come to know and love about east coast basement punk. They shred, there ain't no two ways about that, and it's often chaos in progress, there songs starting from points as though you've been dropped in from above. Released via State Champion Records (Spowder, Snakeskin), the label ran by Screaming Females' Mike Abbate, Glazer make music for fans of fuzzy and dissonant pop, chewed and spat back out with only the rawest pieces left in tact.
Eight months after the album's release, the quartet are sharing a video for "Made Of Meat," one of the record's most immediate and accessible moments. The song is pure distorted fun, a shredding mess of melodic hooks that come in weaving vocals and duel guitars. The video which features a fella named Rick Skimple selecting song at karaoke, combines layered performance shots and slight touch of psychedelic nuance for added flavor. It's all pretty goofy in the way that screams, "this rips and these guys are seemingly having a great time." What more can you ask for, there's even a cameo from some familiar faces, so watch the whole damn thing. Catch Glazer on tour in May, all dates listed below.
