Nashville’s Idle Bloom makes danger look so good. Their newest video for “Seeker” has the band playing in close quarters while a slightly deranged woman with great black eyeliner stalks the band. In the opening scene, we hear a voice-over, letting us know “The film that you are about to see is an account of the tragedy which befell a group of four youth,” piquing interest and intrigue. The band is cheerfully loading in for a show. Directed and edited by Zack Hall with lighting and camera work by Dylan Carver and Anthony Saif, the group has captured a dark and youthful energy with infatuation taking over and leading to murder. Olivia, Kate, Weston, and Gavin aren’t safe with a thoughtful and vicious killer out on the loose, tracking the bandmates through Nashville. Come for the fuzzy and warm guitar strum under Olivia’s sunny, perfectly pop voice; stay to see if all the band members make it out alive.
Idle Bloom's Little Deaths is out now on Fraternity As Vanity.
