Birdtapes is back! From 2012 to the end of 2013, the Brooklyn label released singles and albums from Elvis Depressedly, High Pop, Teen Suicide, Julia Brown, LVL UP, Porches, Alex G, R.L. Kelly, and more. It's been two years since the label's last release but the taste-making label returns with Philadelphia's Littler and their upcoming album, Of Wandering, due out next Spring. Sometimes it just takes a special band to get things going and thankfully for all of us, Littler are that band.
We're excited to share the Philadelphia based quartet's new single, "Not My Market," the second song from the band's upcoming Kyle Gilbride (Swearin') produced, Of Wandering. A jangly blast of sardonic pop music about appealing to the masses, the song offers the age ol' chestnust, "you're not my market anyway". The duel vocals of Madeline Meyer and Dan Colanduno harmonize beautifully in the song's verses, sputtering wonderfully out of control during the hooks. The power-pop charm of the song is radiant as they harness quiet-loud-quiet dynamic, and when the hook comes peeling, the desire to shout along cannot be denied.
Of Wandering is due out in the Spring of 2016 on Birdtapes. The band are currently on a west coast tour but will play Philadelphia later this month. Check out all the dates below.
