Amar Lal - "Gardening" | Album Review
Before releasing Gardening, Lal was best-known as a guitarist for one of the best post-hardcore bands of recent memory, Big Ups. You never would have guessed it based on the music of Gardening. He recently moved and went through his exceptionally varied logs of field recordings and mixed audio, to be codified into what would become this album.

Amar Lal - "Privilege" | Post-Trash Premiere
Following Big Ups’ hiatus and Lal’s move to Oakland, he’s set to release his debut solo album, Gardening, on September 27th via Never Content. After years of noisy output, Gardening, much like the album’s title, is a calming effort, an ambient record built on a backlog of tranquil ideas, field recordings, and gorgeous textural synths.
