Caution - "Mind Like a Tool" | Post-Trash Video Premiere

by Pat Pilch (@apg_gomets)

Caution is equal parts Nora Button and Cash Langdon. The duo’s punk potpourri includes elements of scuzzy electronics, pop songwriting, and hazy shoegaze. After meeting in Washington, D.C. where they played together in art punk quartet Saturday Night, Button and Langdon began collaborating remotely, bouncing demos off one another and tracking their respective parts separately. With Button in Minneapolis and Langdon in Birmingham, Caution operate from afar, splitting the distance on 2022’s Arcola and maintaining focus on their upcoming record Peripheral Vision.

Today, Post-Trash is thrilled to premiere the video for “Mind Like a Tool,” the lead single from Peripheral Vision. While most Caution songs are led by Button’s vocals, the pair hit extra hard when their voices fuse. “Mind Like a Tool” is perhaps the most riff-heavy Caution track yet, and a tell-tale sign of Peripheral Vision’s weight.
