Deep in the retreats of a glimmering Spring, clouds part and the sun shines down rainbow overtures from the heavens. Such enchanted storms course through the veins of our Earth and, perhaps, speak songs celestially with the breath of human cognizance. Demonstrating such evidence are masterful conduits, The Peacers, blessing us with the superlunar record Blexxed Rec; a dazzling, vibrant, and timelessly incantatory display of audial mysticism.
Knowing no melodic bounds, the Peacers’ exceptionally expansive musical palette is apparent, painting in a spectrum of refined subtlety, hypnotic grace, and plangent adventurism. This panoply of hues presents itself in a microtonal, blue note fashion, with chromaticism and a generalized uniqueness of twists-and-turns centered amidst more familiar movements. Yet, in a true alchemical fashion, the music's pop-ness absorbs smoothly-swiftly, as hooks pull the listener on their line of sophisticated and elan rakishness.
A living, analogous blanket lays strewn across the starkly distinct humanism of Blexxed Rec. Guitars erupt in rapturous exhibitions and coalesce at intimate junctions, with thundering bass grooves and seismographic drums barreling across the miscellaneously strewn landscape, carrying along with them an exquisitely peaceful azure (to compliment the dynamic). There is a true 'rockness' about this that is incredibly refreshing, and plays to the more exploratory elements as an edifying, aesthesiodic counterpart.
The Peacers are a genuinely magnificent group of creators, and Blexxed Rec is the minimally majestic and magically realistic rock 'n' roll record that we absolutely all need in these trying times. The world of audial art must be grateful to have a work of this caliber to sink its teeth into - and to reflect upon, amidst the larger chaos of our existence.
