Break out the bongs, we’ve got a new one from scuzzy garage punk duo Teen Mortgage and it’s definitely one to rattle the brain. The Washington, DC based duo will release their latest EP, Life/Death, on the venerable King Pizza Records (Mad Doctors, Daddies, Top Nachos) this summer, five blistering tracks that skate between garage punk, stoner metal, and grunge. Their sound is noisy and brash, quick to dig in and keep digging until the damn wheels fall off.

“Doctor” is the EP’s opening track and third single, buzzing with a hypnotic feedback and swarming guitar riff that circles repetitively, ready to explode at any given moment. The drums pound away in primal fashion, slamming the beat in front of the space echoing doom of the guitars warped path around the sun. It’s heavy and dense in a cloud of smoke kind of way, steadily burning down its path without concern for the surroundings or obstacles. It all gets mowed down on “Doctor” as Teen Mortgage bring a deviant boogie that simply won’t let up.
