Do you hate the internet and social media? Of course you do (aside from Post-Trash that is). Finally someone has the good sense to write a song about the futility of using the web to promote music in 2018, and it’s the debut from the Western Mass trio Stoner Will & The Narks, a new project from Bucket’s Will Meyer. Set to release Only Bots Like My Band via the welcome return of TinyRadars (Bunny’s A Swine, Rick Rude, Graph) the band take a sarcastic and disjointed approach to their sound. Lo-fi and full of tongue-in-cheek humor, the album’s title track and first single is praises the joys of email marketing, promoted posts, and of course bots, everyone’s favorite fans. The band slink around a minimal rhythm and twee framework, a foreground for Meyer’s cartoon-soul delivery.

Upcoming Shows:

11/29 - Greenfield, MA @ The Root Cellar w/ Laundry Day and The True Jacqueline
11/30 - Saratoga Springs, NY @ Rumpus Room
12/01 - Brooklyn, NY @ The Nest w/ twig twig, Michael Rocketship, and Bungee

Stoner Will & The Narks’ Only Bots Like My Band is out November 27th via TinyRadars.
