"2015 was a weird year. Yes, very weird. There were a lot of highs and lows, but thankfully more of the former. I took on a bigger role at Allston Pudding, which was the highest of highs. I crushed on a lot of people who didn’t quite feel the same way towards me. I lost some friends to both dire circumstances and cross-country moves. I made some new friends both in and outside Boston. Through all these waves of emotions and changes, I found an album from 2015 to perfectly accompany every moment. I missed someone, and Courtney Barnett’s “An Illustration of Loneliness (Sleepless in New York)” popped into my head. I felt sad and without any hope of ever finding love, but I had Palehound’s “Dry Food” to help me cope. I wanted to tell a friend how much I loved and appreciated them, so I put Eskimeaux’s “Broken Necks” on a mixtape. I wanted to scream about my pain until my lungs collapsed, and there was Hop Along, All Dogs, Adventures, Kendrick Lamar and Dilly Dally to give me the soundtrack I so desperately needed. Sometimes I needed a sonic headfuck to take my mind off of everything, and there was Ava Luna, Pile and Chelsea Wolfe. Thank you 2015 and all the music you brought me for any occasion I needed it for. Here are my favorite albums and EPs from the year."
